Ashwini Tonge
I am a PhD student at the University of North Texas, Denton where I work in the Machine Learning lab as a Research Assistant. My adviser is Dr. Cornelia Caragea and my current work involves privacy setting prediction for online images using Deep Learning. My research interests involve machine learning, computer vision and graph theory.

MY LATEST RESEARCH
Image privacy prediction using deep features.
My current research includes automatic detection of privacy setting for images shared online through social networking sites such as Flickr, Facebook etc. I used deep convolution neural network (Deep Learning) and achieved better results than state of the art methods used for privacy detection task.
Object detection using chordiogram
My research involves detecting specified objects in images using chordigram descriptor. Shape of an object is extracted using superpixel segmentation and perceptual grouping of segments. Connected components method is used to separate each shape which is then processed by the chordiogram descriptor extraction module. Similarity between each extracted shape and the input shape is calculated using nearest neighbor matching to find desired object.
